YouTube
Google Loves YouTube - You Should too!

YouTube is Social. Period.

It is social because it is interactive and engaging.  More than ever, in fact.  Since the recent upgrade of the YouTube platform, you can now easily feature your Facebook, Twitter and other social media profiles, which I love. YouTube is also set up to allow commenting, sharing, liking (and disliking) of videos.  And most importantly there is a subscribe button – allowing your followers to keep updated when a new video leaves the nest on your channel. With the new playlist feature you can organise your videos into easily viewed “playlists” that feature particular topics or content.  It is just like a TV channel and is very, very social.  When you match “social” with the 2nd largest search engine in the world (yup, YouTube is the 2nd largest!) then you have a platform that simply must take advantage of in your business.

To help you do that, I am going to hand you over to the experts. Here are 5 YouTube Channel to start watching (and subscribing to) now that will keep you up to speed on all things Video and YouTube, and give you awesome, easy to follow tips, ideas and practical strategies that you can use today in your business:

1     www.youtube.com/colligan – I first came across Paul Colligan via a training program called Social Media Marketing Machines. Paul was the YouTube expert and I would have to say that his practical strategies for optimising your video marketing via YouTube and linking it with other platforms is excellent.  Bio:  Paul Colligan helps busy people leverage the technologies of new media to get their message out to more people, with less effort, and for greater profit. Yep. and he does it in simple, clear, easy to understand language.  Check out Paul’s channel (oh, and he also features on e-marketing vids listed below).

2     www.youtube.com/emarketingvidsI LOVE this channel! Bio:  Daily videos about eMarketing from Traffic Geyser and Digital Cafe Studios. and what I really love about this Channel is not only the content provided by experts such as Paul Colligan (as above) Mike Koenigs, but all the other experts that are speaking about their particular niche or specialty area, including Amy Porterfield (Facebook). But the best part is their clever use of Playlists and themes to provide consistent content on topics that are not just about YouTube but all areas of emarketing, such as Make it Happen Mondays, TwitTippin Tuesdays, WordPress Attack Wednesdays, Apps and Tools Thursdays, Facebook Fridays and News.  A fabulous channel to keep up to date on all things video and e-marketing, including mobile marketing.
